About your safari lodge
Set amongst 4,000 year-old baobab trees, the lodge offers a quirky and vibrant African design with accommodation reflecting the traditional building style of circular huts with thatched roofs. Planet Baobab is home to the largest swimming pool in the Kalahari and has a unique bar containing large chandeliers crafted from beer bottles. There is a restaurant serving dishes from across Africa, whilst in the evenings you can gather around a camp fire with a cool drink.
This destination is about the unique activities on offer which include a baobab bush walk, close up encounters with habituated meerkats and a tour of a local village with traditional lunch. During the dry season between June – October, quad biking across the Makgadikgadi Pans with the option to sleep-out under the stars is possible, whilst from November to May the Makgadikgadi National Park come alive with the zebra and wildebeest migration.
