About Your Safari Lodge
Formerly known as Sarova Salt Lick Lodge.
Salt Lick Safari Lodge is famed for being one of Africa’s most photographed lodges with its unique stilted design. Located within the picturesque Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, the lodge overlooks a waterhole and the vast Tsavo plains. The reserve offers an abundance of wildlife including elephants, lion and a variety of antelope species.
The lobby and terraced bar offer excellent views and photographic opportunities, while an underground tunnel and bunker with ground level windows provide close, yet safe access to a variety of animals as they drink water. As well as game drives, the lodge offers guided nature walks with a ranger within the sanctuary to observe at close hand the flora, fauna and smaller wildlife of this fascinating ecosystem.

There are 96 unique rooms, all elevated on stilts and built across two levels, with en-suite bathrooms with showers and running hot and cold water.
