Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Nairobi

Arrive at Nairobi to be transferred to the Sovereign Suites Country House for an afternoon at leisure. Relax by the pool or head into the city to explore.

Sovereign Country Suites: Located in rolling countryside outside Nairobi, this colonial style mansion contains just 14 suites and offers a relaxing stay before your safari. The elegant interior includes a grand staircase and wood panelled reception rooms, whilst the six acres of grounds offer a swimming pool to relax by.

Meals: None

Day 2 - Samburu National Reserve

The adventure begins with a drive to Samburu National Reserve, passing Mt Kenya and crossing the equator on the way. Your two night stay in Samburu includes morning and afternoon game drives with a chance to spot all of the Big 5. This region is also know for its unique ‘Special 5’ so look out for herds of beisa oryx, the unique giraffe-necked gerenuk, Somali Ostrich, Grevy’s Zebra and reticulated giraffe.

Samburu Game Lodge: a characterful lodge with a prime position within the park, overlooking the Uwaso Nyiro River. During the dryer months the river acts like a magnet for a variety of wildlife including herds of elephant. The popular Crocodile Bar overhangs the water and is a great vantage point for nightly crocodile feeds.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 4 - Aberdare National Park

Return south to the mountainous Aberdare National Park for a stay and evening game viewing at the famous Treetops Lodge. Observe animals emerging from the forest to drink at the lodge’s waterhole.

Treetops Lodge: A rustic stilted Lodge tucked into the verdant forests of the Aberdare National Park. It has the distinction of being the place where Queen Elizabeth arrived a princess and left a queen after the death of her father in 1952. Most rooms overlook a floodlit waterhole and on a clear day, Mount Kenya can be seen in the distance.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 5 - Lake Naivasha and Nakuru

The mountain views are magnificent as you head towards the Great Rift Valley and Nakuru National Park. There are plenty of animals and over 400 species of bird here as well. Head to Lake Naivasha for dinner and overnight.

Lake Naivasha Country Club: A historic lodge that was once the staging post for Imperial Airways that flew from Dublin to Durban. The 12 acres of lawns are shaded by mature accacia and Fever trees and include a swimming pool to relax by whilst on safari.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 6 - Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast continue through Masai tribal lands for two spectacular days of game viewing in the Masai Mara National Reserve. There are morning and afternoon game drives and a chance to spot hippos at your lodge’s own waterhole.

Keekorok Lodge: A prime location within the park close to migration routes coming up from the Serengeti. There are attractive gardens containing a swimming pool and a boardwalk leading to a hippo pool lookout.
