Arrive at Nairobi to be transferred to your hotel with the rest of the day at leisure. Relax by the pool or head into the city to explore.

Day 2 to 3 – Samburu National Reserve
The adventure begins with a drive to Samburu National Reserve, passing Mt. Kenya and crossing the equator on the way. Your two night stay in Samburu includes morning and afternoon game drives with a chance to spot all of the Big 5.
This region is also know for its unique ‘Special 5’ so look out for herds of beisa oryx, the unique giraffe-necked gerenuk, Somali Ostrich, Grevy’s Zebra and reticulated giraffe.
Samburu Simba Lodge: is located in Buffalo Springs Game Reserve and overlooks the Uaso Nyiro River. The comfortable rooms are decorated with traditional Samburu tribe accents, whilst the bush grounds offer a swimming pool to relax by.

Day 4 – Aberdare National Park
Return south to the mountainous Aberdare National Park for a stay and evening game viewing at The Ark. Observe animals emerging from the bush to drink at the lodge’s waterhole.
The Ark: An iconic property in the heart of the Aberdare National Park. The Ark has four viewing areas and a ground level hideout overlooking a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, popular with elephant and other wildlife. On request, the night guard will buzz your room when lesser spotted species visit the waterhole after dark.

Day 5 – Lakes Naivasha & Nakuru
The mountain views are magnificent as you head towards the Great Rift Valley and Nakuru National Park. There are plenty of animals including rhino, leopard and giraffe as well as large numbers of flamingo that turn the shoreline pink. Head to Lake Naivasha for dinner and overnight.
Lake Naivasha Country Club: A historic lodge that was once the staging post for Imperial Airways that flew from Dublin to Durban. The 12 acres of lawns are shaded by mature acacia and fever trees and include a swimming pool to relax by whilst on safari.

Day 6 to 7 – Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast continue through Masai tribal lands for two spectacular days of game viewing in the Masai Mara National Reserve. There are morning and afternoon game drives and a chance to spot hippos at your lodge’s own waterhole.
From August to October, the Great Wildebeest Migration typically passes through the Masai Mara, accompanied by tens of thousands of zebra, impala and gazelle. If nearby, your ranger will seek out the impressive herd.
Keekorok Lodge: A prime location within the park close to migration routes coming up from the Serengeti. There are attractive gardens containing a swimming pool and a boardwalk leading to a hippo pool lookout.

Day 8 – Nairobi and farewell
Enjoy the sights and sounds of rural Kenya as you make the journey back to Nairobi. You might like to extend your holiday with a relaxing stay by Mombasa’s beaches.
