Depart from your beach hotel and drive to Tsavo West for an afternoon game drive. The savannah and acacia woodlands are home to a wide range of wildlife including the big cats, rhino and elephant. A visit will be made to the underwater hide at Mzima Springs where hippo can sometime be seen walking under water!

Kilaguni Serena Lodge offers rustic accommodation in a prime location within Tsavo West National Park. From the open-air dining room terrace you can enjoy watching a variety of game drinking from the waterhole as well as the magnificent views towards the Chyulu hills and the snowy dome of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

After breakfast drive through Tsavo West to Ziwani Tented Camp close to the Tanzanian border where the afternoon will be free to relax. The camp overlooks a river and is great spot to watch hippo or, alternatively, go out on an optional guided nature walk. In the evening take an exciting night drive to seek out nocturnal animals such as bush babies, genets and even big cats.

Day 3 – Tsavo East National Park

Take an early morning nature walk with a game scout before heading off to Ngutuni Lodge in the Tsavo East region. After lunch the afternoon game drive goes in search of elephant, lion, buffalo, kudu and giraffe, amongst others, before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Ngutuni Lodge is set against the backdrop of the Sagala Hills and offers comfortable and rustic accommodation. There is a spacious deck overlooking a waterhole which is popular with a variety of wildlife that come to drink.
