Description
You’ll be met at your hotel for the short drive to the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, on the Western edge of Nairobi National Park. Here you will be able to watch orphaned elephants as they receive their morning feed and hear from the keepers about how they were rescued, raised and their future release plans back into the wild.
The team who run the orphanage are always willing to spend time answering any questions guests have about their current orphans. A truly heart-warming experience.
It’s around a 25 minute journey to the Giraffe Centre, who work to breed and preserve the Rothschild giraffe, a subspecies found only in the grasslands of East Africa. With an elevated viewing and feeding platform, you will have the unique opportunity to get up close to the world’s tallest land animal.
