Your Day Tour

On this scenic trip around the south west of the island, you will discover spectacular changes of scenery, revealing some of the island’s unique natural wonders. Starting in the mountainous heart of the island, at the highest point in Curepipe, admire the view overlooking the dormant volcano “Trou aux Cerfs” now home to abundant plant life.

Continue on to the sacred lake of Grand Bassin, place of worship to the Hindu community and learn about its mysterious legend. Black River Gorges will be a highlight for nature lovers with its endemic fauna and flora. At the “Rhumerie de Chamarel”, a local rum distillery, the secret of rum production will be unveiled, concluding with a rum tasting session.

After a delicious lunch, you will be taken to the spectacular coloured earth of Chamarel, a unique geological phenomenon, complete with its waterfall and surrounded by lush vegetation.
