Arrive into Windhoek airport and transfer to your hotel to relax ahead of your journey tomorrow. Alternatively head into the city centre to explore Namibia’s capital city with its blend of European and African influences.

Day 2 – Okonjima
Your car will be delivered to your hotel and you will be visited by our representative who will hand over your documentation and answer any questions you have. Then it is time to set off for Okonjima, home of the famous AfriCat Foundation. The foundation conserves and protects Namibia’s large carnivores, such as cheetah and leopards and visitors can go out on a guided 4WD game drive to observe these amazing creatures and others.

Day 3 to 5 – Etosha National Park
Travel northwards towards Etosha National Park, noted for its vast salt pan where permanent waterholes attract a large variety of wildlife including the rare black rhino and large elephants. Spend the next three nights at two different camps, driving yourself through the park in the comfort of your own vehicle, watching out for game as you go.
Standard: Onguma Forest Camp (2 nights) and Etosha Taleni Village (1 night) (1 dinner)
Deluxe: Onguma Tented Camp (2 nights) and Etosha Oberland Lodge (1 night) (3 nights)
Day 6 to 7 – Twyfelfontein area
Today exit the southern gate of the park for the journey through Damaraland to Twyfelfontein which is reputed to have the richest collection of stone age rock engravings in Africa. The area is also known for its desert adapted species of elephant and it is possible to take a guided 4WD excursion to look for these and other desert animals.

Day 8 to 9 – Swakopmund
Head south, past the Brandberg Mountain towards the Skeleton Coast, so named because of the numerous skeletal remains of ships that foundered on the rocks along this treacherous stretch of ocean. Arrive into the resort town of Swakopmund with its distinct German flavour, where you will spend the next two nights, giving ample time to explore the area.

Day 10 to 11 – Sossusvlei area
After breakfast the journey continues south towards spectacular Sossusvlei, located in the Namib-Naukluft National Park. The sand dunes here can reach heights of 300m making them the highest in the world. Don’t miss Deadvlei, a ghostly sheet of white clay punctuated by skeletons of ancient trees.

Day 12 – Johannesburg
Enjoy Namibia’s vast open spaces once last time as you drive back to Windhoek in time for your flight to Johannesburg. Spend the night at an airport hotel where you will be just a short transfer away from the terminal for your flight tomorrow.

Day 13 to 19 – Mauritius
This morning, take flight to an Indian Ocean paradise where on arrival you will be driven to your choice of Mauritius hotel for a relaxing week by the beach.
The warm waters surrounding the island are ideal for a range of watersports which many hotels offer, or you may like to explore the coast on an open-air catamaran enjoying the sun and ocean breeze.

Day 20 – Farewell
Take a scenic transfer through the island to the airport for your flight home.
