After an overnight flight to Cape Town, your cricket holiday begins in South Africa’s ‘Mother City’. You will be greeted and transferred to your chosen Cape Town hotel. Enjoy four days exploring the city, and spend five days at the South Africa v England Cape Town Test.

If you can rise early after the cricket, you may like to begin your day by heading to the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway, for the five-minute ride to the summit, 1067 metres above the city. From here, on a clear day, you will be able to take in the views of Cape Town, Table Bay and the Atlantic coast.

Whilst at the top of the mountain you can access a number of walking trails through the Table Mountain Nature Reserve, enjoy some refreshments at the summit café, as well as relax and take in the views. You can choose to walk down, or take the easier return cable car.

After descending, make your way to Camps Bay, Cape Town’s premier summer destination. The beach features pristine white sand, a tidal pool for safe swimming, and is lined with trendy restaurants, cocktail bars, and beach cafés where you can enjoy refreshments while watching the sunset.

This morning make your way along the V&A Waterfront to where the ferries depart to Robben Island throughout the day. From the ferry join the guided tour around this UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will be taken around the island that once imprisoned Nelson Mandela, the renowned statesman, for 18 years. Many of the tours are accompanied by former political prisoners who can share their personal stories of resilience.

After your ferry returns to Cape Town you can spend the afternoon exploring Bo-Kaap, the historic and colourful Cape Malay Quarter, and the Castle of Good Hope, before returning to the V&A Waterfront for refreshments and dinner.

This morning you will be collected for the drive into the Winelands area of the Western Cape. Boland Park in the town of Paarl is hosting the first of three One Day Internationals between South Africa and England, and you will have tickets allowing you to follow all the action.

This match marks the build up to the 2027 Cricket World Cup that will be hosted by South Africa so both teams will be anxious to make their mark in the 50 over format.

After the match you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cape Town for your final night in South Africa.

After yesterday’s excitement, today is a day to relax and take things easy. You could rest and make use of your hotel’s facilities, or you could head down to the V&A Waterfront.

The V&A Waterfront is a mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment with over 450 retailers, restaurants, and cafes set against the backdrop of Table Mountain and the working harbour. Beyond shopping and eating, you can enjoy live music, visit museums and galleries, take harbour cruises, or simply stroll along the picturesque waterfront and watch the fishing boats and yachts come and go.

This morning you will be transferred to Cape Town International Airport in time to check-in for your domestic flight to Bloemfontein.

On arrival in Bloemfontein you will be collected at the airport and transferred to your chosen downtown hotel.
The rest of the day is at your leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities are explore the city on foot.

Today is the 2nd One Day International between South Africa and England. Taking place at the Manguang Oval, in the centre of Bloemfontein, there is sure to be a great atmosphere. So we recommend getting to the ground early to meet the locals, enjoy some fresh cooked food, and take it all in.

You may like to start your day at Naval Hill, the iconic “mountain” in the heart of the city and one of Bloemfontein’s most visited tourist attractions, where you can enjoy an early morning walk up to the viewing deck for beautiful panoramic views of the city.

For a cultural experience, explore the Anglo Boer War Museum, which chronicles the region’s history during the conflicts of 1899-1902 with audio-visuals, exhibits, and artifacts, or visit the Oliewenhuis Art Museum.

End your day at one of Bloemfontein’s homely restaurants. you may like to book for De Oudekraal Restaurant, which is famed for its six-course menu featuring traditional South African farm-style dining including dishes such as bobotie, oxtail and venison.

On your way to the Muangang Oval in Bloemfontein, you may like to stop by neighbouring Kings Park, which is well-known for its fabulous rose gardens.

After breakfast this morning, you will return to Bloemfontein Airport, for your onwards domestic flight to Johannesburg, where you can transit for your international flight home or continue your South Africa holiday.

An alternative option for days 2 and 3 would be to depart Cape Town for an overnight stay in the Western Cape Winelands.

Staying in Stellenbosch, you will be able to sample some of the world-class wines that are made in this area, as well as enjoy the fantastic scenery.

After the 3rd One Day International you may like to continue your South Africa holiday with a safari in Kruger National Park.

With guided tours departing from Johannesburg, and connecting domestic flights available too, the wildlife of the Kruger is easy to reach.
