You’ll be met at your hotel for your scenic transfer to either Sun City Resort, or a safari lodge in the adjacent Pilanesberg National Park.
At Sun City you can enjoy a round of golf on one of two Gary Player-designed 18 hole courses, go mountain biking in a private game park with giraffe, zebra and wildebeest, or just relax by one of several swimming pools.
Located on the slopes of an ancient volcano, Pilanesberg National Park is home to lion, leopard, elephant and rhino to name but a few iconic African species. During your stay you’ll enjoy two game drives, led by an experienced ranger.

On Christmas Eve, you’ll travel back from Sun City / Pilanesberg to Sandton, approximately a 2 hour 30 minute journey.
En route, you may like to stop at the Cradle of Humankind, where you’ll find the Maropeng Visitor Centre, which explores the evolution of our species, and the impressive Sterkfontein Caves.
You’ll no doubt find fellow cricket fans in the bars and restaurants in Nelson Mandela Square or the nearby district of Melrose Arch, or trying their luck in Montecasino!

You will have a 5-day ticket, so not to miss any of the action. Centurion Park holds around 20,000 spectators, and is known for its fun and friendly atmosphere (scoreboard depending!).
In the evenings, you can relive Root’s reverse ramps back in the bars and restaurants of Sandton.

The flight from Johannesburg to Cape Town takes around 2 hours 15 minutes, with views over the Great Karoo. On arrival, you’ll be met at the airport for your transfer to your chosen hotel.
This afternoon, you could enjoy a glass of South African wine at the V&A Waterfront, then stay to watch the city’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display. There are also often DJ’s and live music acts.
If you would like to dine at the V&A Waterfront on New Year’s Eve, booking a table is highly recommended.

Alternatively, you could join the the local Capetonians kicking back on Clifton Beach or Camps Bay, both a short taxi ride from the V&A Waterfront.
The following day, why not pre-book a day tour to the Cape of Good Hope, returning via Boulders Beach to see the resident penguins, or to Stellenbosch in the famed Cape Winelands, with wine tastings included? Just let your Travel Consultant know what you would like to do.
