Game on! The second South Africa v England Test is being held at Centurion Park (also known as SuperSport Park) in Pretoria’s southern suburbs.

You will have a reserved seat, so not to miss any of the action..Centurion Park holds around 20,000 spectators, and is known for its fun and friendly atmosphere (scoreboard depending!).

In the evenings, you can relive Root’s reverse ramps back in the bars and restaurants of Sandton.

Transfer to Johannesburg for the flight to Cape Town which takes around 2 hours 15 minutes, enjoying views over the Great Karoo. On arrival, you’ll be met at the airport for your transfer to your chosen hotel.

This afternoon, you could enjoy a glass of South African wine at the V&A Waterfront, then stay to watch the city’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display. There are also often DJ’s and live music acts.

If you would like to dine at the V&A Waterfront on New Year’s Eve, booking a table is highly recommended.

If you enjoy a challenge, climbing Table Mountain is becoming a New Year’s Day tradition in Cape Town. It takes around five hours, but you’ll be rewarded with incredible views. The Table Mountain Cable Car does typically run on New Year’s Day too (weather permitting).

Alternatively, you could join the the local Capetonians kicking back on Clifton Beach or Camps Bay, both a short taxi ride from the V&A Waterfront.

The following day, why not pre-book a day tour to the Cape of Good Hope, returning via Boulders Beach to see the resident penguins, or to Stellenbosch in the famed Cape Winelands, with wine tastings included? Just let your Travel Consultant know what you would like to do.

Backdropped by the ever impressive Table Mountain, Cape Town’s Newlands Cricket Ground is one of the world’s most iconic, and the perfect venue for the final South Africa v England Test Match.

The Boxing Day Test at Newlands tends to be the most popular with visiting England fans. The ground holds 25,000 spectators and again, you’ll have a reserved seat, to see Roots & Co. wrap up a series win (fingers crossed!).

After breakfast this morning, you will be collected and transferred west of Cape Town to Sanbona Game Reserve.

Your route today only takes around three hours, so there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the scenery. Highway 1 takes you beyond Paarl, and over the mountains, and through the Du Toitskloof Pass, to Montagu. From Montagu it is just over a half hour’s drive to reach the gates of Sanbona Game Reserve.

Sanbona is one of South Africa’s largest private game reserves, spanning 58,000 hectares in the Klein Karoo. Guests can encounter the Big 5 (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard) along with cheetah, hippo, giraffe, zebra and over 180 bird species. The reserve is particularly known for its rare white lions and successful conservation programs.

On arrival you will be welcomed, and escorted to your chosen accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, you may also be able to go out on your first game drive before dinner.
