After your overnight flight to Johannesburg, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel, where you can drop your bags off and enjoy the hotel’s own facilities, or head out for lunch in Mandela Square or Melrose Arch, where you’ll find a great choice of bars and restaurants.

Don’t miss a a ball with a five day ticket for the South Africa v England Test Match at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, nicknamed the ‘Bullring’ for its lively and intimidating atmosphere! You will have a reserved seat in the 34,000 seater stadium.

In the evenings you can dissect the day’s play in the bars and restaurants of Sandton or Melrose Arch.

After the excitement of the first South Arica v England Test Match, enjoy a couple of days to relax before the Boxing Day Test in Pretoria.

You’ll be met at your hotel for your scenic transfer to either Sun City Resort, or a safari lodge in the adjacent Pilanesberg National Park.

At Sun City you can enjoy a round of golf on one of two Gary Player-designed 18 hole courses, go mountain biking in a private game park with giraffe, zebra and wildebeest, or just relax by one of several swimming pools.

Located on the slopes of an ancient volcano, Pilanesberg National Park is home to lion, leopard, elephant and rhino to name but a few iconic African species. During your stay you’ll enjoy two game drives, led by an experienced ranger.

On Christmas Eve, you’ll travel back from Sun City or Pilanesberg to Johannesburg’s characterful Sandton district, which is alive with festivities.

Perhaps you’d like to visit the ‘City of Enchantment’ Christmas Market on the 24th, to get into the festive spirit, enjoying great food, watching live performances and perhaps picking up a souvenir.

Enjoy a relaxed Christmas Day. You’ll no doubt find fellow cricket fans in the bars and restaurants in Nelson Mandela Square or the nearby district of Melrose Arch, or trying their luck in Montecasino!

Game on! The second South Africa v England Test is being held at Centurion Park (also known as SuperSport Park) in Pretoria’s southern suburbs.

You will have a seat reserved for all 5 days, so not to miss any of the action. Centurion Park holds around 20,000 spectators, and is known for its fun and friendly atmosphere (scoreboard depending!).

In the evenings, you can relive Root’s reverse ramps back in the bars and restaurants of Pretoria.

Following breakfast this morning you will be transferred back to Johannesburg International Airport, in time to check-in for your flight home, or to continue your journey.
