Touch down in Johannesburg this morning, then hopping on a short flight to Nelspruit Airport, from where you’ll be transferred to the charming Hippo Hollow country estate in the town of Hazyview. Located on the Sabie River, this will be your base for the next three nights as you explore Kruger National Park.

Embark on a full-day safari tour of Kruger National Park, one of the continent’s largest game reserves. Get an early start from Hazyview on your wildlife-viewing adventure in order to catch the animals at one of their most active times. Travel alongside a knowledgeable guide in an open vehicle, seeking out Africa’s big five as well as crocodiles, zebra, hyenas and more. Your guide offers details on local fauna and flora, including a wealth of local birdlife, en route. Stop for lunch (own expense) before resuming our search for game.

Today take a full day tour of South Africa’s famous Panorama Route where you will see God’s Window with its spectacular views across the Lowveld, the intriguing rock formations of Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Blyde River Canyon which is one of the deepest in the world.

After a relaxed breakfast, enjoying the scenery that surrounds the lodge and keeping your eyes peeled for one last wildlife sighting, you’ll be transferred back to Nelspruit for your flight back to Johannesburg. Head to your hotel and simply relax for the evening, or you can head out to explore the city.

The Apartheid Museum and former prison and fort at Constitution Hill provide a thought provoking insight into South Africa’s past, whilst the Maboneng Precinct, with its collection of galleries and bohemian cafes and bars, points to the country’s dynamic future.

Don’t miss a a ball with a five day ticket for the South Africa v England Test Match at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, nicknamed the ‘Bullring’ for its lively and intimidating atmosphere!

You will have a reserved seat within the  34,000 seater stadium, however those ‘behind the bowlers arm’ can sell out quickly.

In the evenings you can dissect the day’s play in the bars and restaurants of Sandton or Melrose Arch.
