Your city tour passes some of Cape Town’s most storied landmarks:

• Castle of Good Hope — construction began in 1666, making it one of the oldest European buildings in the Southern Hemisphere
• Grand Parade and City Hall — the elegant heart of historic Cape Town
• St. George’s Cathedral — the Anglican seat of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Nobel Peace Laureate and anti-apartheid icon
• Company’s Garden — established in 1652 as a VOC vegetable garden, now a green retreat at the city’s heart
• Bo-Kaap — the former Malay Quarter, where freed slaves painted their homes in bold colours as a celebration of emancipation. A neighbourhood with a story unlike any other in South Africa

The tour continues with a diamond and gold experience, where you’ll see master craftspeople at work and learn about the trade that shaped modern South Africa.

You will then be offered the option of continuing to Table Mountain, where you can ascend to the top by revolving cable car (payable locally). At the top you can see wildflowers, the famous silver tree, and marvel at a birds-eye view of the city and its beaches. On a clear day it is even possible to see Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned on one side and Cape Point on the other.
