Watch the sunrise over Southern Africa as your overnight flight descends into Johannesburg, where you will board a short connecting flight to Kruger Mpumalanga. Here you adventure begins, as you’re met in arrivals for your transfer to Arathusa Safari Lodge in the acclaimed Sabi Sands Game Reserve.

Sabi Sands is a private reserve that shares a 50 km unfenced border with Kruger National Park and arguably offers the best wildlife viewing in South Africa. With three nights in the reserve, you’ll have a fantastic opportunity to see the ‘Big 5’ on morning and evening game drives, with the chance to observe the behaviour of leopards in their natural environment a highlight of many safari-goers stay.

Wildlife and birdlife sightings can also be enjoyed from the lodge itself, with hippo, elephant, giraffe and other iconic species frequenting the large waterhole in front of the main building. Big cats have also been known to visit, in search of thirsty prey.
