With just 12 rooms, Elephant Plains is known for its relaxed and informal atmosphere and is reached by a 1.5 hour transfer from Hoedspruit. Located in the game rich Sabi Sands Reserve which adjoins the Kruger National Park, the lodge has a beautiful bush setting overlooking the dry Manyeleti riverbed.

Morning and afternoon game drives are accompanied by a ranger and local Shangaan tracker to ensure the best chance of seeing Africa’s iconic wildlife and the area is noted for its sightings of the elusive wild dog and leopard.

A guided walk can often be taken after breakfast for a different perspective of the African bush, or guests can simply relax and enjoy some of the facilities including a refreshing swimming pool. Dinner time is a treat served in the boma around a log fire with the sounds of Africa all around.
