About Your Hotel
The reserve encompasses and takes its name from the famous section on the Buffalo River where Lieutenants Melvill and Coghil lost their lives in a valiant attempt to save the queens colour in 1879.
Today the reserve gives the opportunity to view game such as giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and antelope by vehicle, bike or on foot. In between guided tours of the battlefields, guests can relax by the sparkling pool set in beautiful gardens. The old farmhouse now houses a charming sitting and dining room with its original verandas, whilst the outside eating area has a stunning view across a plain with Isandlwana Mountain in the distance.
Rooms
The cottage style rooms have a veranda offering views over the reserve, ceiling fan, safe and free WiFi.
