About Your Safari Lodge
Choose from:
Berg En Dal is situated in the far south-west of the park near the Malelane gate and sits in natural bush, surrounded by undulating hills where Bushman paintings can be found. The area attracts white rhino, kudu, impala and warthog whilst predators such as leopard and wild dog are regularly seen in the area.
Crocodile Bridge is situated in the south-east of the park on the banks of the Crocodile River. This is in a game viewing area known as the ‘Southern Circle’ renowned for its different prides of lion and a relatively large percentage of the Kruger’s total rhino population.
Lower Sabie is located in the south-east of the park close to the Mozambique border and has a tranquil position on the banks of the perennial Sabie River. This supports a great diversity of game, amongst the best in the Park with lion, cheetah, elephant, hippo, rhino, buffalo and warthog all regularly seen.
Skukuza is the largest of the Kruger camps with easy access via Paul Kruger gate offering excellent facilities including two restaurants and even a golf course! This is Big 5 territory where lions are frequently spotted and the elusive leopard hides out too. At night look out for bush babies climbing trees in search of gum.
Satara is located approximately 30 miles from the Orpen gate and is known as the ‘cat camp’ as it is reputed to be one of the best spots to see lion, leopard and cheetah. Fertile grazing lands attract large herds of antelope and in the dry season, the rapidly shrinking water holes provide prime ambush territory for the cats as thirsty animals come to drink.
Olifants is tucked away in the central Kruger region approximately 50 miles from the Phalaborwa Gate. The camp sits atop a hill, providing good game viewing opportunities over the river below. Zebra, impala and elephant favour the cover provided by the Mopane trees, whilst the rolling plains are studded with buffalo and giraffe. The river is a good place to spot hippo, crocodile and birdlife.
