After breakfast this morning, there may still be time for a final wander through the estate’s beautifully manicured gardens or a coffee on the verandah, before your driver arrives to transfer you to Cape Town International Airport. On arrival at the airport you will be able to check-in prior to your domestic flight to the Shamwari Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape.
Shamwari Game Reserve is one of South Africa’s most prestigious private reserves renowned for exceptional ‘Big 5’ game viewing and strong conservation values. By flying directly into Shamwari’s private airstrip, you can enjoy a seamless arrival into this vast wilderness reserve.
You will be met at the Shamwari airstrip and transferred to your chosen lodge (please see options below).
The drive offers your first taste of the Eastern Cape wilderness, with the chance to spot wildlife en route.

Day 6
| Stellenbosch to Shamwari
After breakfast this morning, there may still be time for a final wander through the estate’s beautifully manicured gardens or a coffee on the verandah, before your driver arrives to transfer you to Cape Town International Airport. On arrival at the airport you will be able to check-in prior to your domestic flight to the Shamwari Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape.

This time, your domestic flight takes you onwards to Johannesburg. On your arrival at Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport, you will have time to transfer to the international terminal in time to check-in for your return flight to the UK.
Day 9
| Farewell from Shamwari
Following breakfast, depending on your flight schedule, there may be enough time for one last morning game drive or bush walk, before you will be transported back to the Shamwari private airstrip.
This time, your domestic flight takes you onwards to Johannesburg. On your arrival at Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport, you will have time to transfer to the international terminal in time to check-in for your return flight to the UK.
