Transfer to Arusha airstrip for your flight across northern Tanzania to the Serengeti where, on arrival, you will be transferred to your choice of camp for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive.

Mbuze Mawe Camp: is located in the central region of the National Park, providing convenient access to seeing the migration through most of the year. The 16 spacious tents have a beautiful setting dotted amongst the rocky glades of the camp and feature en suite facilities and a private terrace.

Kirawira Camp (upgrade): is located in the western corridor of the Serengeti and offers 25 elegantly furnished tents, raised on platforms overlooking the plains. To arrive here is to be transported back to the safari camps of the early 1900s with a dash of Edwardian style. The elegant main tent is furnished with Persian rugs, antique escritoire and a wind-up phonogram for that classic ambience.

Head out on morning and afternoon game drives in search of the astonishing array of animal and birdlife. The Serengeti is one of the most famous wildlife havens in the world and scene of numerous documentaries. Covering over 5,500 square miles of rolling savannah plains and acacia woodland, it is home to one of nature’s great spectacles, the million-plus wildebeest and zebra migration.

There are also large numbers of carnivores including lion, leopard and hyena, as well as the cheetah, who thrive on the open plains. On your game drives you will also have the chance to see giraffe, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle, eland, impala, hippo, warthog and many more.
