Your Itinerary
Day 1 - Arusha
On arrival into Kilimanjaro airport you will be met and taken to your hotel on the shores of Lake Duluti, just outside Arusha, where the rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore.
Arusha Serena Hotel: Set among the woodland slopes of Mount Meru and overlooking Lake Duluti, Arusha Serena Hotel draws on its heritage as a former coffee farm. The cottage-style rooms are positioned throughout the landscaped gardens that run down to the lake. Activities include canoing and guided walks to appreciate this picturesque setting.

Day 2 - lake Manyara
After a relaxed lunch, set out for Lake Manyara getting to know Tanzania as you pass through the Masai Steppe filled with picturesque African villages as well as maize, coffee and banana plantations. At the town of Makuyuni turn North West and continue the journey through a scenic escarpment that brings you to your lodge.
Manyara Serena Safari Lodge: Positioned on top of the towering Mto wa Mbu escarpment, the lodge offers spectacular views over the lake. Drawing inspiration from the extraordinary birdlife attracted to the lake, the lodge features swooping avian curves and vibrantly coloured wall frescoes. Housed in circular two-storey “rondavels”, the rooms blend traditional and contemporary decor.

Day 3 - Serengeti National Park
Enjoy a morning game drive through forests and grassy plains around Lake Manyara’s shore. After lunch you will travel through hilly countryside filled with wheat and coffee plantations, before scaling higher altitudes to the beautiful Crater Highlands. As you proceed to the Serengeti you will pass traditional Masaai villages and have photo stops on the way. After entering the park gate, keep an eye out for the rich and varied game en route to your lodge.
Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge: Seamlessly blending into an acacia-lined ridge, this African-style lodge offers panoramic views across the Serengeti’s vast game-filled grasslands. The characterful rooms are housed in stone-built, thatched ‘rondavels’ each with their own private balcony.
Day 4 - Serengeti National Park
Today head out for morning and afternoon game drives in search of the park’s abundant wildlife. The Serengeti has a variety of habitats that are home to the Big 5, cheetah, zebra, giraffe and more. Return to your lodge in between drives for lunch, relaxation and maybe a siesta!

Day 5 - Ngorongoro Crater
Leave behind the rolling plains of the Serengeti and head for the Ngorongoro Crater. Perched on the rim, your hotel takes full advantage of the scenic splendour of the crater below. This evening is free to relax and enjoy dinner and the facilities at the lodge.
Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge: Nestled on the Crater’s jagged rim, this characterful lodge blends into the hillside with its rocky facade cloaked in indigenous vines. Framed by timbered decks, its torch-lit walls are adorned with stylised ‘cave’ paintings, whilst the roaring fireplace in the bar provides ambience and warmth on cooler evenings. The rooms are looped around the Crater rim, each with its own rock-enclosed balcony and wonderful views of the crater below.

Day 6 - Ngorongoro Crater
The crater is a microcosm of Africa, with abundant game enclosed by the spectacular backdrop of the crater walls. Today, head down to the crater floor for a full day safari with a picnic lunch, where you will have ample time to discover both predator and prey.

Day 7 - Arusha and farewell
After breakfast it is time to head back to Arusha, where your safari concludes after lunch. You can extend your stay in Arusha or head off to the beautiful Indian Ocean island of Zanzibar for a relaxing stay at a beachfront resort.
