On arrival in Arusha, you will be chauffeured to your hotel where the rest of the day is free to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Time permitting, you can visit the Shanga cultural experience, a project operated by disabled locals who excel in a variety of crafts.
Arusha Coffee Lodge: A beautiful oasis situated on one of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations on the edge of town. You will stay in a luxury cottage-style room featuring a cosy fireplace and private terrace.

Day 2 – Fly to Tarangire National Park
On arrival at the airstrip, enjoy the rest of the day on a game drive which will include a picnic lunch served in the bush. Tarangire is a scenic and diverse eco-system, containing one of the largest concentrations of elephants in Tanzania and 550 bird species that thrive around the swamps.
In the late afternoon, arrive at Treetops, your unique home for two nights. You will be perfectly timed for sunset drinks and a traditional Maasai boma dinner lit by lantern and the glowing embers of a fire.
Tarangire Treetops: Located in a private reserve bordering Tarangire National Park, Treetops has the feeling of a luxury tree house with its 20 luxury tented rooms elevated on stilts, overlooking the surrounding baobab and marula trees. Encasing an ancient boabab tree is the main lounge and dining room which have views over the swimming pool and waterhole.

Day 3 – Tarangire National Park
Enjoy a full day of activities including a morning guided bush walk followed by a visit to a local Maasai village to gain an insight into this fascinating culture. Return to the camp for lunch and in the afternoon depart on a game drive followed by sundowners in the bush and a night game drive.

Day 4 – Fly to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, fly to the Serengeti where you will stay at either Elewana Serengeti Pioneer Camp (typically Jan-May) or Elewana Migration Camp (typically Jun-Dec). The choice of camp will be made in advance based on which location will provide the optimum game viewing opportunities, however both camps benefit from good year-round resident game.
This afternoon, enjoy a game drive to seek out this world famous National Park’s game, followed by dinner under the stars on your return to camp.
Elewana Serengeti Pioneer Camp: Perched on a rocky outcrop in the southern central region of the park, this luxury camp is in a prime location for the calving season. During January to February an estimated 400,000 wildebeest calves are born which in turn attracts large numbers of predators. The camp is styled to evoke the romanticism of the 1930’s safari but with modern amenities.
Elewana Serengeti Migration Camp is positioned in the north-central region and lines the banks of the Grumeti River. This region witnesses the migration sometime between April to Jun and again in late October to December. The spacious tented suites are elevated on platforms with large wrap-around verandahs that afford 360 degree views of the bush.

Day 5 – Serengeti National Park
OPTIONAL Shared Hot Air Balloon Safari
There is an option in the morning for a sunrise hot air balloon safari over the African plains, followed by a breakfast in the bush and return to camp.
After breakfast you will spend a full day exploring the vast Serengeti. Even outside the migration period the Serengeti can still offer great game viewing with herds of buffalo, elephant, giraffe, and numerous variety of antelope present. Resident populations of lion stalk the abundant plain grazers, whilst solitary leopards hide out in the acacia trees lining the rivers. More elusive predators and scavengers can also be seen in the Serengeti including jackal, spotted hyena and even the aardwolf and serval cat.
This evening return to the camp for a bush dinner under the stars.

Day 6 – Serengeti National Park
Today provides further opportunities to spot the Serengeti’s wide range of game on game drives accompanied by a picnic lunch. The day comes to the perfect conclusion with sunset drinks taken from a vantage point.

Day 7 – Fly to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast enjoy a morning game drive through the reserve on your way to the airstrip. Fly to Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will be transferred to The Manor at Ngorongoro in time for lunch. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the tranquil gardens or take part in one of the optional activities.
The Manor Ngorongoro: The Manor is reminiscent of an elegant Cape Dutch-style farmhouse situated within a 1500-acre Arabica coffee estate close to the world famous Ngorongoro Crater. The luxury cottage suites sit within the manicured gardens and feature sitting rooms and a fire place.

Day 8 – Lake Manyara
Following breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park where you will take a game drive through the forests and along the lake shoreline. The park is best known for large troupes of olive baboons, the elusive tree climbing lion and lots of birdlife including flamingo.
You have the option to travel with a picnic lunch box to have more time in the park or return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you are free to enjoy the grounds and swimming pool of The Manor, take in a movie at the on-site cinema, or optionally go horse riding in the coffee farms or indulge in a spa treatment.

Day 9 – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast you will head into the magnificent crater for a full day of exploration. Formed when a giant volcano collapsed around three million years ago, the crater is 2,000 feet deep and one of the most beautiful sights in all of Africa. Forming a natural enclosure, the crater walls contain a microcosom of Africa with grassy plains, forest and lakes that are home to a large variety of wildlife including lions, wildebeest, buffalo, zebra and rhino. It offers one of the best opportunities to see all of the big 5 in one park.
After an exhilarating morning in search of wildlife, you will enjoy a picnic lunch served on the crater floor overlooking a small lake where hippo reside. After further game viewing in the afternoon, return to the Manor for dinner and overnight.

Day 10 – Arusha and farewell
Breakfast will be served at the lodge followed by a game drive en route to the airstrip in time for your flight to Arusha.
On arrival, you will be transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge for lunch. You can then enjoy the use of a day room before being chauffeured to Kilimanjaro Airport. Ask you consultant about extending your holiday with some time on the exotic spice island of Zanzibar.

Prices are per person based on two people sharing a double or twin room and include scenic flights, en suite accommodation, game drives and meals and selected drinks.
There is a 15kg luggage allowance per person. Day room at Arusha Coffee Lodge is subject to availability and departure flight time.
