On arrival at Entebbe airport, transfer to your hotel for the day at leisure. Time permitting perhaps book a tour to Ngamba Chimpanzee sanctuary on an island in Lake Victoria.

Day 2 – Bwindi National Park
Fly by light aircraft to Kihihi airstrip in the far south-west of the country where, upon arrival, you will be transferred to your lodge in time for lunch. This afternoon enjoy the mountain views and some time to relax.
Mahogany Springs Lodge is located in Buhoma, just a few minutes drive or 10 minute walk to the Gorilla tracking headquarters. Set on an open piece of land facing the forest and with a river running along its boundary, the lodge offers comfortable accommodation with panoramic views.

Day 3 – Bwindi National Park
Enter the Bwindi forest this morning for a briefing by your guide before you begin your trek. This land of verdant forest and steep mountain ridges is home to around half of the world’s mountain gorillas. The trek can last up to six hours and reach elevations of up to 7500 feet but the reward of seeing a wild gorilla family in their natural habitat ranks as one of the great wildlife experiences in the world.
After spending an hour with them, return to your lodge for dinner.

Day 4 – Farewell
This morning, leave the Bwindi Forest for a final scenic drive to the airstrip and your flight back to Entebbe.
