Situated in an exclusive portion of the Ngamo Forest reserve, adjacent to Hwange National Park, this charming camp offers 11 tented rooms suiting adults and families. From Victoria Falls the drive takes about 4 hours, or 5.5 hours using a unique mix of road and rail with the Elephant Express. The lodge overlooks the Bomani Pan and the surrounding area of open grasslands and woodlands, supports an abundance of wildlife including lion, leopard, painted dog and Hyena.

The lodge’s welcoming central areas include a viewing deck where guests can socialise between game experiences as well as a swimming pool overlooking the waterhole. In the evenings, guests can congregate around the fire for pre-dinner drinks, before enjoying delicious candlelit dinners under the stars.

At Bomani, there are no rigid timetables and guests can choose which activity they would like to do each day. Game drives are conducted into a relatively wild and less touristy part of Hwange National Park, whilst the night drives accompanied by tracker and spotlight, take place in the reserve. Morning game walks with a highly experienced guide offer a fascinating insight into wildlife both big and small, whilst the photographic hides offer the opportunity for some close up shots.

A unique activity is joining staff on a ‘pump run’ to drop off supplies to the waterhole pumps that wildlife so depend on in the dry season. These usually take a day with a picnic lunch enjoyed near one of the waterholes, followed by a leisurely game drive back to the lodge. For some cultural interaction there is also a guided village visit which includes stopping by the school where you will hear traditional songs and enjoy interaction with the class. Guests can also learn about the rhino conservation project and go in search of the two white rhinos, sometime even getting quite close to them.

Your stay at Bomani Tented Camp includes two game activities daily, guided bush walks, hide and birding experiences, and village and school visit (when available).

Spurwing Tents have a private veranda overlooking the waterhole, ceiling fans and safe. Saddlebill tents are raised on teak decks and have views orientated towards the Ngamo Plain.
