Ivory Lodge is a well established lodge in the Hwange region which over the years has been kept up to date whilst still maintaining its rustic charm. The simple but characterful rooms are set into the tree line of a teak forest and built in a ‘tree-house’ style with balconies overlooking a waterhole. The main thatched building has a bar that looks out onto manicured green lawns and a fire pit, a favourite gathering place after dinner.

Each day two game drives are included which are taken in the private concession or Hwange National Park and guests can also enjoy bush walks with a guide to see nature close at hand. The area around Ivory Lodge is known for being a popular hangout for a large herd of elephants adding the the game experience. The lodge can arrange a visit to the Painted Dog Conservancy should you wish to to learn about the African Wild Dog and also to a rural school for a fascinating insight into local life.
