Welcome to Las Vegas! Base yourself on the Strip and immerse yourself in everything Sin City has to offer. Once you have checked in and dropped your bags, take a wander through the Forum Shops, where the painted sky ceiling shifts from dawn to dusk over the course of the day and the Fall of Atlantis fountain show runs hourly. Spend the afternoon at the Garden of the Gods pool oasis, seven pools spread across five acres of Roman-inspired grounds.

In the evening, have dinner at one of the resort’s restaurants, then catch a show if you still have the energy after the flight. The Colosseum is in the hotel, and the Cirque du Soleil productions along the Strip are all within a short walk or taxi ride.

Start slowly with breakfast at the hotel before heading out to explore the Strip on foot. Wander north past the canals of the Venetian, then turn back south towards the Bellagio conservatory and beyond, stopping wherever takes your fancy. Soar over the mega-resorts of the Las Vegas Strip, taking in the New York-New York skyline, the Bellagio fountains and the never-fading light of the Luxor pyramid. You will also get unparalleled views of Downtown Las Vegas’s historic Fremont Street, home to the city’s first casinos. Champagne is served at the Las Vegas terminal before departure, and the flight itself is aboard an ECO-Star helicopter, known as the ‘limousine of the sky’.

Round off the night with a late dinner or a cocktail at a Strip bar, ideally somewhere with a view so you can pick out the route you have just flown.

With a full free day, this is the perfect opportunity to head out on a Grand Canyon tour from Las Vegas. The canyon sits around 280 miles east of the city, and the drive takes you across the Mojave Desert with photo stops at the Hoover Dam and the Route 66 Train Museum along the way.

Tours typically give you around three hours inside the national park. There is the option to walk a stretch of the 2.5-mile Rim Trail, dubbed the most beautiful walk in the world, linking the viewpoints at Mather Point and Yavapai Point with the canyon dropping more than a mile below you. The trail is flat and paved for most of its length, so it is a gentle walk rather than a hike, and a shuttle bus runs the same route if you would rather ride between the lookouts.

It makes for a long day, so keep the evening close to home. Enjoy dinner at one of the resort’s restaurants, then take the five-minute walk along the Strip to watch the Bellagio fountains dance to music against the night sky.

If you have time to fill before your departure, Qua Baths and Spa at the hotel is a wonderfully relaxing way to spend it. With Roman baths, an ‘Arctic Ice Room’ and a tea lounge, it makes for a restful few hours before you move on. Alternatively, take a final wander along the Strip, stopping at the Bellagio conservatory on your way to the airport.
