Day 1
| Welcome to Boston
Known as the ‘Cradle of Liberty’, Boston was once home to famous sons such as Samuel Adams, Paul Revere and Benjamin Franklin. Make your way around the city at your leisure and immerse yourself in its revolutionary history, or enjoy a stroll along the waterfront. This evening, you’ll meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception to kick-start a colour-filled journey through New England landscapes.

Day 2 – Boston to Vermont
Weaving along parts of the Freedom Trail, visit some of Boston’s most important historic sites, revealing the rich history of the American Revolution. Stop at Lexington and Concord, the site where “the shot heard round the world” was fired, marking the beginning of the American Revolutionary War. In the afternoon we make our way to Vermont, driving past picturesque farmlands and old-world towns.

Learn about regenerative and sustainable farming and how they raise healthy and free-range animals including pigs, chicken, turkey and goat as well as vegetables before a farmhouse lunch. Then, take in the Burlington waterfront with a scenic cruise around Lake Champlain.

| Stowe & Northern Vermont

Journey along “The Kanc”, an American Scenic Byway that cuts through the White Mountain National Forest, admiring the glowing fall colours. This afternoon, join a gentle guided hike to Diana’s Baths, a series of small waterfalls within the White Mountain National Forest. It’s the perfect escape to nature, finding peace in many picturesque spots along the rocks, ledges, falls and pools in the brook. Or, explore the shops and restaurants of the ski town of North Conway.

Admire the magnificent view over the Schoodic Peninsula, pink granite cliffs and ancient maple forests – their leaves glowing fiery red, burnt orange and mustard yellow in the crisp autumn air. We’ll return to Bar Harbor for an afternoon at leisure or consider joining an optional nature cruise on Frenchman Bay. This afternoon visit the Bar Harbor Historical Society’s charming waterfront building to meet a local Wabanaki storyteller to experience Indigenous oral traditional music.

This evening, we join our fellow travellers for a memorable Farewell Dinner reminiscing over our fall foliage experience.
