In the afternoon, visit Truro Vineyards to sample local wines, then choose an optional cruise through Hyannis Harbour to see lighthouses, Squaw Island, and the Kennedy Compound.

This morning, cross the Cape Cod Canal to visit a traditional cranberry bog and learn about the growing and harvesting of this famous New England crop. Continue to Newport, Rhode Island, to see the grand mansions along the 10-Mile Ocean Scenic Drive. You may choose to visit The Breakers Mansion, once the Vanderbilt family’s summer home, before travelling on to Providence, home to Brown University.

Graduate Providence

Start the day with breakfast at Francesca’s in Rhode Island, a local favourite serving both Mexican and American classics. Continue to Shelburne Falls to see the Bridge of Flowers, a former trolley bridge now covered in colourful blooms. Later, arrive in Killington for a two night stay, with the afternoon free to relax, explore, or enjoy the mountain scenery.

Travel through Vermont’s Green Mountains to the state capital, Montpelier, and see its gold-domed Capitol building. Visit Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks to learn how maple syrup is made and try a traditional sweet treat known as Sugar on Snow. Stop briefly in Stowe for photos before returning to Killington to round off the day.
