The stadium is about 50 minutes drive from downtown San Francisco with various parking lots close the stadium. The stadium is also located near several public transportation routes including Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) light rail and bus lines, ACE/Capitol Corridor heavy rail. It even connects to Caltrain for direct access to San Francisco.

Where is best place to stay in San Francisco for the 2026 Football World Cup?
Whilst the Santa Clara and San Jose areas do have hotels of various standards that are closer to the stadium, the majority of visiting fans are going to want to stay in downtown San Francisco near to the famous attractions of the city. The San Francisco hotels near to the Fisherman’s Wharf area will be very popular and offers a variety of hotels from budget to luxury. Another popular area will be around Union Square, close to the cable car stop (tram).
Will there be a Fan Zone and other events around San Francisco?
The city is planning a Fanzone and other events near to the stadium on matchdays, as well as in downtown San Francisco and Oakland. There will also be other celebrations around San Francisco around the 4th July. These will be announced by the city closer to the matchdays.

San Francisco in June and July usually experiences mild weather, with temperatures ranging from 12°C to 24°C (55°F to 75°F). Cooler than it Californian neighbour, Los Angeles, it is advisable to pack layered clothing for varying conditions in San Francisco.
