Description
Embarking on the Durango And Silverton Railway is an opportunity to journey through time and nature. As the vintage locomotive chugs along the historic narrow-gauge tracks, passengers are transported to a bygone era, surrounded by breathtaking views of the San Juan Mountains.
Peering out from the vintage carriage windows, travellers are treated to a visual feast of rugged landscapes, towering cliffs, and dense forests.
Once in the historic town of Silverton, there is around two hours to explore the museum, shops and tavern of this once thriving mining hub, before making the return journey back down through the Rocky Mountains.
