Description
Sit back and relax on a train journey with a destination like no other. With daily departures from Williams, Arizona, the Grand Canyon Railway transports passengers to the heart of the historic village on the South Rim of the canyon.
Passengers can choose six different classes of carriage and service, ranging from the simple ‘Pullman Class’ carriage dating from from 1923), through to the ‘Luxury Parlor’ carriage that includes a private bar, snacks and rear viewing platform.
As well as the passenger carriages, the locomotives attract plenty of attention. The majority of departures are pulled by refurbished diesel locomotives built in the 1970s, but usually on the first Saturday of the month (please check schedules) the route is completed by a historic steam powered locomotive.
