Miami Holidays
While many holiday-makers head to Miami for its beautiful beaches, Miami is a colourful city, with lots to offer. Divided into distinct neighbourhoods, each boasting their own distinct personality, read on for your guide to this lively city.
South Beach
South Beach is one of Miami’s most popular areas, primarily thanks to its proximity to the beach. With a huge range of Miami South Beach Hotels, many visitors opt to stay here, luxuriating on the golden sands, and enjoying easy access to the rest of the city. South Beach is energetic but charming, with colourful Art Deco architecture, trendy restaurants and a buzzing nightlife.
Downtown Miami
The Downtown area offers the perfect snapshot of Miami as a whole, with some of the city’s most historic buildings contrasted against the skyscrapers. Here, you’ll find some fascinating museums, great shopping, an established food and drink scene and the Kaseya Centre, one of the city’s biggest sports and entertainment venues.
Wynwood
Home to the famous Wynwood Walls, an outdoor street art museum, Wynwood is a hub of art, fashion and design. Explore galleries, vintage boutiques, craft breweries and of course the unique murals that decorate almost every building facade.
Little Havana
Miami’s centre of Cuban culture, this charming district boasts some of the city’s best food. Wader down Calle Ocho and you’ll find Cuban coffee, delicious dishes, and live music, amongst the colourful rooster statues. In Maximo Gomez Park has earned the title of Domino Park, as it is a local hot spot for the game.
Coconut Grove
Coconut Grove is Miami’s oldest neighbourhood, and is one of Miami’s lesser-known gems. Enjoy its relaxed atmosphere, with boutique shops, waterfront restaurants and charming gardens.
Key Biscayne
Another quieter area, Key Biscayne offers an island paradise. A great spot for outdoor activities, explore the area’s beaches and nature reserves. Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park is particularly beautiful, with activities like guided hikes, kayaking and eco-adventure tours on offer.
