The Fordson Hotel was originally built as a Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant, designed by noted architect Albert Kahn. It is now protected on the National Register of Historic Places. Over a century after it first opened, the building has found new life as the Fordson Hotel, with its industrial bones left largely intact and put to very different use.

That history is still visible throughout the rooms and suites, which have a loft-like feel thanks to oversized steel-framed windows and an industrial-chic finish that suits the surrounding neighbourhood well. It’s a short walk from here to some of downtown Oklahoma City’s best restaurants, shops and entertainment.

Food and drink are a real highlight, with three in-house options to choose from. Mary Eddy’s Italian Grill serves classic Italian dishes alongside a well-curated cocktail list, the Pool Bar offers laid-back drinks and a DJ-led atmosphere by the water, and Bodega serves coffee, snacks and locally sourced treats any time of day.

Outdoor space is one of the hotel’s strong points, centred around a year-round pool that becomes a social hub, complete with cabana rentals. There’s also a well-equipped fitness centre for those wanting to keep up their routine while travelling.

Rooms are air-conditioned with an HDTV, WiFi, 250-thread-count bed linen, Malin+Goetz bath amenities, Nespresso coffee machine and in-room safe.
