Each rider is assigned their own horse for their stay, with rides going out Monday to Friday.

Riding Lessons – Either on the ranch, or on the trail, you can get coaching from expert wranglers.

Trail Rides – For beginner and intermediate riders, enjoy a walk ride through the National Forest. Experienced riders can go on adventure rides, loping over high plateaus, and even go on swim rides. Choose from two, four and six hour rides.

Cattle Working – Try your hand at rounding up cattle, and truly experience what it’s like to be a cowboy.

Arena Games – Compete against your fellow guests in friendly arena games, like team penning and roping.

Fly Fishing – The Gros Ventre River flows right through the ranch, where you can fly fish, or take a pontoon boat off property. Either hire the equipment, or get a fly fishing lesson.

Hiking – There is an extensive network of walking trails surrounding the ranch, exploring the stunning Gros Ventre wilderness area.

Archery, Shooting & Hatchet Throwing – Try your hand at a new skill, with some target practice.

UTV Rides – Each cabin comes with its own UTV that you can use to go and explore the Gros Ventre.

River Sports – Go tubing or canoeing to float the two mile stretch of river, or just enjoy a dip.

Mountain Biking – Grab a bike and hit the trails.

Line Dancing – Join the crew on the porch and learn how to two-step.

The cabins on Goosewing Ranch are rustic, cosy and comfortable. The ranch’s 11 cabins are each unique, with a different layout and decoration, but they can accommodate up to five people.

Each cabin has a private porch where you can enjoy the scenery, luxury down bedding, a propane stove and a coffee maker. The en suite bathrooms have toiletries, a robe, slippers a shower and a bathtub.

There is a personal UTV for each cabin. You can access WiFi in the main lodge.

Meals at Goosewing Ranch are served family style, with a wide offering of dishes. The outdoor dining area features a wood-burning oven, covered seating and heaters, so it makes a lovely place to enjoy a meal.

Breakfast is a traditional cooked breakfast, as well as a continental buffet. Lunches are usually served as a trailside picnic, but there are hot lunches available if you choose to stay on the ranch.

Dinners are themed, including Prime Rib Night, Southwest Night, French Night, Cowboy Night and Angler Night. Once a week there is an open fire cookout.

Dietary restrictions can be catered for with advanced notice.

Main Lodge – Unwind with seating and dining areas in the main lodge, where you also have access to WiFi.

Fire Pit – Share stories and star gaze around the fire pit.

Pond – Fish, boat or take a dip in the pond.

Hot Tub – If the river is too cold or wild, relax in one of the three hot tubs, taking in the scenery.
