Beginners – Even if you haven’t been riding before, the ranch’s well-trained appaloosas, will help you feel an expert in no time.
With gentle instruction form the ranch wranglers even first-time riders can go on to enjoy incredible rides into the Montana wilderness.
Intermediate – More experienced riders go from trotting to faster paced rides, as well as being instructed on tackling more difficult terrain, before heading out on two-hour trail rides.
Advanced – More expereienced riders can hit the trails and ride at a faster pace and get deeper into the backcountry. Each week there are opportunities to join at least one all-day ride, as well as an overnight pack trip taking you up into the high country, to camp near a mountain lake.
Families – Each week families of different skill levels can come together for a ranch gymkhana on Friday moirning, for friendly games on horesback. These games are not only fun but test your new-found riding skills.

With the Taylor Fork River flowing gently behind the ranch cabins, the Nine Quarter Circle Ranch has become an immersive destination for fishing enthusiasts and those keen to try their hand at this relaxing past-time. All equipment and guiding is complimentary for ranch guests.
Beginners – Learn to fish from the experts. Nine Quarter Circle Ranch has a resident guide and fishing expert (gillie) who is able to teach you about fishing equipment and how to use it. The ranch has private trout pond that guests and children can begin their fishing experience and learn to cast, catch, and release fish.
Intermediate – Try trout fishing in the Taylor Fork River, a tributary of the Blue Ribbon Gallatin River. The resident guide can give you tips on your casting technique and advise on current hatches and water conditions.
Advanced – Travel to nearby Blue Ribbon fisheries such as the Gallatin and Madison Rivers, or discover other waters and hike or horseback ride to secret fishing holes known only to your local guide.

Swimming – One of the freshwater lakes on the ranch has been set aside for outdoor swimming. Fed by a mountain stream and surrounded by pine trees a quick dip can be very refreshing.
Hiking – Nine Quarter Circle Ranch is just a short drive from numerous trailheads leading into the Madison and Gallatin Mountain Ranges. You can through alpine meadows to Taylor Falls or Lizard Lake.
Square Dancing – Every Friday evening it is dance time. Everyone on the ranch can get together for a fun social evening
Ball Games – The ranch has facilities for softball, volleyball, and throwing horsehoes.

Ideal for couples, or families with one or two children, the one bedroom cabins include handmade quilts on a queen bed and wood stove or fireplace, The porches and patio are furineshed to allow you rot enjoy views of the mountains and the river. The separate bathroom has either a tub or shower.

Breakfast – Cooked to order, breakfast can include eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, cereals, fruite, pancakes, and cinnamon rolls.
Lunch – Hot soups and hearty sandwiches are on the menu alongside light salads, bread and homemade jam, followed by dessert of the day.
Dinner – Meat, potatoes, and vegetables are at the heart of each dinner served with a selection of salads and breads, followed by dessert.
