Today you are heading for Mesa Verde via Four Corners monument, this area of the USA is known as Four Corners because it’s in the corner of four states. Northwest is Utah, northeast is Colorado, southeast is New Mexico and southwest is Arizona. Mesa Verde, Spanish for green table, offers a spectacular look into the lives of the Ancestral Pueblo people who made it their home for over 700 years. Today the park protects nearly 5,000 known archaeological sites, including 600 cliff dwellings. These sites are some of the most notable and best preserved in the USA.

Today you are heading for Moab, en route visit Hole N” The Rock, a unique historic 5,000 square foot home, carved out of a huge rock in Canyonlands Country. From Moab visit Canyonlands National Park and the Islands in the Sky Visitor Centre. The Island in the Sky mesa rests on sheer sandstone cliffs over 1,000 feet above its surroundings. Every overlook offers a different perspective on Canyonlands’ spectacular landscape.

Natural amphitheatres lie above an array of white and orange limestone columns and walls sculptured by rain, snow, and frost. Because you will probably want to spend more time in Bryce this morning, we suggest you spend the night in Mesquite on your way to Las Vegas.
