This morning, your Columbia River cruise will return to Portland, where you will disembark and head to collect your car. From here, take the two hour drive to Astoria, where you can soak up more of its coastal charm.

Take an afternoon stroll along the Riverwalk, discovering its quaint shops, eateries and bustling craft breweries. You could even take the charming Astoria Riverfront Trolley, the same streetcars that have been in operation since 1913.

Spend today exploring the wonders of Crater Lake National Park, that encompasses the remains of the fascinating Mount Mazama volcano.

First, visit Rim Village, taking in panoramic views from Crater Lake Lodge. You may wish to hike along one of the park’s many trails, heading down to the lake’s shore via the Cleetwood Cove Trail, or explore the Garfield Peak Trail to look down over the lake.
