On arrival in Kuching you will be met and transferred to your hotel where the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2 – Sri Aman
After breakfast head for Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, which provides a home for orangutans that have been illegal kept as pets, orphaned or found injured in the rainforest. Following their rehabilitation, the animals are released into a 653 hectare protected forest, though many still return to the centre for lunch! Orangutans are South East Asia’s only great ape and are endangered. You’ll be amazed as they swing through the trees. Later travel to Sri Aman, passing through quaint little towns and villages and stunning countryside.

Day 3 – Batang Ai
Take a thrilling ride by motorised longboat to visit a traditional Longhouse. The journey will take you across the lake into the Engkari River, before arriving at Ukom Longhouse, which is nestled on a hill beside the river. Enjoy a short cultural performance and a blow pipe demonstration. After lunch there may be time for a short jungle walk around the grounds of the longhouse, before returning back to your hotel in Seri Simanggang.

Day 4 – Kuching
After breakfast depart for Kuching where the rest of the day is yours at leisure, to relax or explore the city.

Day 5 – Mulu Caves
Today, make an early start for your flight to Mulu. On arrival transfer to your hotel where lunch is spent, before heading out to Mulu Caves National Park this afternoon. Here you will be able to take a 3 km plank walk through the rainforest to the entrance of Deer Cave whose entrance is the largest in the world. You might be lucky enough to see the flight of many thousands of bats as they head out to feed.
Afterwards travel to Lang Cave famous for its stalagmites and stalactites. Return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Mulu National Park HQ – Deluxe Bungalow or Rainforest Lodge. Marriott is available as an upgrade.
Day 6 – Mulu Caves
Head out in an open longboat to explore Wind and Clearwater caves making a stop at a local Penan Village en route. Wind Cave is famous for its rock formations whilst Clearwater is great for swimming in the shade of the rainforest. Enjoy lunch al fresco and then travel back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 7 to 9 – Kota Kinabalu
Spend a morning at leisure until you depart for the airport and flight to Kota Kinabalu. Enjoy a relaxing three nights there with time to explore the area and the superb local beaches.

Day 10 – Farewell from Borneo
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Why not extend your holiday with a few nights in Singapore or Kuala Lumpur before heading home?
