Day 1 - Arrive in Siem Reap
Arrive into the Cambodian city of Siem Reap, gateway to the magnificent temple of Angkor. Stay for three nights at the French colonial-style Victoria Hotel with its inviting outdoor swimming pool and tranquil gardens.
The temples are just 20 minutes drive away and to make the most of your time, we have included the Temple Tour where you will visit three of the most important sites including the iconic Angkor Wat, the mysterious Ta Prohm tangled in Banyan Tree routes and Angkor Thom with its impressive Bayon Temple.
Day 4 - Fly to Phnom Penh
A short flight takes you to Cambodia’s capital city of Phnom Penh where you will stay for two nights at the Palace Gate Hotel. Located in the heart of the city, the hotel has the very distinguished neighbour of none other than the magnificent Royal Place. Included in your holiday is the Killing Fields tour which will explore the country’s harrowing past with visits to Tuol Sleng Museum and Cheung Ek.
Day 6 - Fly to Bangkok
Today say farewell to Cambodia as you fly to the capital of Thailand, Bangkok. With its endearing version of chaotic fun and intricate gilded temples, this city embodies the exoticness of Asia like few others. Your three nights are at leisure to explore the city at your own pace and you will stay at the Rembrandt Hotel which is a short walk to the shopping of Sukhumvit Road and a handy Sky Train station for getting about. You may like to add some tours to explore the city or even further afield such as the floating market or wartime attractions of Kanchanaburi.
Day 9 - Fly to Chiang Mai
A one hour flight takes you to Chiang Mai, gateway to the north and home to some of Thailand’s most important cultural sites. Spend three nights at the De Naga Hotel which is well located just within the old town so easy to explore some of the wonderful temples on foot. Outside the city are some real gems such as the temple of Doi Suthep which has splendid views overlooking the city, or for something completely different, ask about adding an elephant experience to your itinerary at one of the humanely run camps. In the evening the famous Night Bazaar is the place to be with its tantalising street food, endless market stalls and buzzing vibe.
Day 12 - Koh Samui Beach stay
Today leave Chiang Mai and head South to the glorious beaches of Koh Samui for some R&R. A seven night stay at the appropriately named Peace Resort is the perfect finish to your holiday with its beachfront location in the resort of Bo Phut. If you wish to spend some time away from the beach, head inland to explore the lush interior or maybe go offshore to visit the Ang Thong Marine Park with its excellent snorkelling and kayaking.
