Day 1 - Phnom Penh
Arrive in to Phnom Penh and transfer to your hotel, the White Mansion, in the heart of the city. This afternoon you will take in the cities highlights including the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda.
Extend your time in Phnom Penh by adding on a night or two.
Day 2 - Siem Reap
After breakfast, you will travel to the airport for a short flight to Siem Reap, where you’ll spend the next three nights at the Prince D’Angkor. After checking in at your hotel you will travel to Angkor Wat, the largest temple complex in the world. Marvel at the intricate carvings and the sheer scale of the place, which took almost 30 years to build. You can explore with your guide during the afternoon before watching the sunset and returning to your hotel.
Spend the day discovering Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Khmers. You’ll see the elephant terrace and the stunning Bayon Temple before visiting Preah Khan an extensive monastic complex covering over 56 hectares.
There’s a morning visit to Ta Prohm Temple today, which is undoubtedly the most atmospheric ruin at Angkor. Having been virtually swallowed by the jungle the labyrinth of stone hallways is overgrown with roots and massive banyan trees. This afternoon you can visit the citadel of women, one of the jewels in this remarkable city.
Day 5 - Bangkok
Enjoy a boat trip on Ton Le Sap lake this morning and see the floating fishing villages. Afterwards, travel to the airport for your onward flight to Bangkok where you will be met and transferred into the centre of Bangkok for a 3 night stay at the well situated Furama Silom Hotel on Silom road.
The Furama Silom is placed right in the heart of the city’s most exciting shopping and entertainment district. Just a 10 minute walk away from the nearest Sky Train station which will provide you with efficient access to the best that Bangkok has to offer. For some relaxation after a long day shopping and sightseeing, head for the city’s green heart, Lumphini park or back at the hotel enjoy a swim in the rooftop pool with its amazing views of the city. In the evening take a stroll to the famous Patpong night market to haggle for all those souvenirs!
Day 8 - Kanchanaburi
Today marks the start of a real adventure as you travel by traditional 3rd class rail to Kanchanaburi to see the famous bridge over the River Kwai. You will be met on arrival at the train station for a short journey to your hotel which is just moments away from the bridge and there’s plenty of free time to explore this at your own pace.
We have included a tour to the Erawan National Park where you will take a guided walk along the nature trail through magnificent mountain scenery. You’ll see waterfalls and lots of native trees, plants and birdlife. There’s time to swim here before lunch.
Day 10 - Bangkok
Travel back to Bangkok today to enjoy a final night in the bustling city’s capital. Make the most of your final hours, visit the golden palaces, tranquil temples and lively markets or simply relax and dine in the many bars and restaurants.
Day 11 - Farewell
Take in as you head back to the airport for to catch your flight back to the UK.
