Day 4 – Welcome Aboard the Mekong Navigator
This morning, you will depart Siem Reap, taking a scenic road transfer to Kampong Cham. Take in the views of sprawling rice fields and stilted houses, stopping for lunch on the way.
As you arrive at the port, you will be welcomed on board the majestic Mekong Navigator ready for your Mekong River cruise. Settle into your cabin and explore the ship’s facilities before a welcome dinner in the dining room.

Day 5 – Opopel Village & Wat Roka Kaong
Your first stop along the Mekong River is the village of Opopel, with open fronted houses, wandering Brahim cows, and towering banana trees. You’ll get an insight into rural life on the Mekong, meeting a local family and visiting a school.
Enjoy a leisurely lunch back on board, before disembarking again at Wat Rota Kaong, a breathtaking Buddhist temple complex. Learn about its history, take in the stunning architecture and receive a traditional water blessing.

Day 6 to 7 – Phnom Penh
Your next stop is Cambodia’s riverside capital of Phnom Penh, where you’ll have two days to explore. Your first day in the city offers an insight into Cambodia’s darker history, as you visit the Choeung Ek killing fields and the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum.
The following morning, you’ll be collected for a tuk tuk tour. First, marvel at the Royal Palace, discovering its famous Silver Pagoda and the Emerald Buddha. Then, visit the National Museum, with its vast collection of artefacts and Khmer art. The afternoon is yours to experience more of Phnom Penh, or you can unwind in the ship’s bar, the library, sundeck or the spa.

Day 8 – From Cambodia to Vietnam
Enjoy a relaxed day on board, taking in the scenery and unwinding in the ship’s library, the bar, or even the spa, as you cruise towards the Cambodia-Vietnam border.
Simply soak in the views from the sundeck, or you can get stuck into onboard activities. After entering Vietnam, the evening is spent enjoying a drinks reception and dinner hosted by your captain.

Day 9 – Long Khanh A & My An Hung
Today, you’ll have a chance to navigate the Mekong’s winding waterways in a traditional sampan boat. You’ll explore the island village of Logn Khanh A, known for producing traditional Khmer scarves.
Your insight into life along the Mekong continues as you visit the farming village of My An Hung. Sample some coconut and honey tea as you listen to traditional folk music and water a martial arts demonstration, put on by local teenagers.

Day 10 – Sa Dec & Cai Be
Cruise this morning to Sa Dec and take a traditional sampan ride through the canals of the Mekong Delta, discovering the town’s bustling markets and scenic temples.
Later, you’ll wind your way through the hidden waterways at Cai Be, passing by thatched houses, rice mills and temples.

Day 11 – My Tho
Savour your final breakfast onboard, then bid farewell to the crew and your fellow passengers. Then, disembark the Mekong Navigator, taking a road transfer to the bright lights of Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon.

Day 12 to 14 – Ho Chi Minh City
