Start the tour with a visit to Tsang Tai Uk, an outstanding example of an 1840s fortified walled village, complete with thick walls and tall corner towers, and made with the original granite, bricks and timber used to build the village.

Next be amazed by the Chi Lin Nunnery with its impressive Tang dynasty-style Buddhist temple, before stopping at the Yuen Po Bird Garden, a favourite with locals who keep song birds as pets.

Finish the tour with a walk along the colourful Flower Market, full of vendors selling all exotic plants, beautiful flowers, pot plants, bonsais and more. There will also be an opportunity to try Milk tea and Egg custard tarts on the tour – a Hong Kong favourite.
