Day 2 – Vientiane to Vang Vieng
Explore the charming capital starting with a tuk tuk ride from your hotel to the iconic Phatuxai Monument. Hop-off and stroll down Lane Xang Avenue, and visit the Morning Market, and the COPE (Cooperative Orthotic & Prosthetic Enterprise). Continue along the way to visit the temples; Wat Si Muang and Wat Sisaket, before stopping at the Presidential Palace.
Have a break and recharge with a Lao coffee or a fresh drink at Anouvong Park and enjoy fresh croissants from ‘Le Banneton’. Continue the tour along Setthathirath and visit a series of temples, eventually reaching the Mekong riverbanks which marks the end of the tour. Hop-on a tuk tuk ride back to your hotel and prepare for the overland journey to Vang Vieng.

Day 3 – Vang Vieng
Start your day with a scenic walk across the Nam Song River to visit the Hmong village of Ban Phan Thao. Trek along a small canal and enjoy breathtaking views of limestone karst mountains and luscious rice fields. Continue until we reach the rice paddies of Ban Nadoa Village and Tam Chang Cave. Later, sit back and relax as we take a road trip through the majestic mountains and visit other Hmong villages as we make our way to Luang Prabang.

Day 4 – Luang Prabang
Luang Prabang is Laos’ most beautiful and engaging town. Surrounded by mountainous forests and situated at the confluence of the Khan and Mekong rivers, Luang Prabang has a tranquil, old-world charm. This fascinating town was the capital of the Lane Xang (million elephants) kingdom until the mid-16th century. The legacy of the European presence here has blended delightfully with more than thirty gilded Buddhist temples to create a town rich in atmosphere and history.
Begin your discoveries with a walking tour of the main charms this city has to offer with a leisurely walk around the old quarters. Starting from the vibrant morning market, then onto the main street and the National Museum. After, visit Wat Xienthong ‘The Temple of the Golden City’, considered the finest temple in Laos. This evening, take in the picturesque sights from a scenic boat as you cruise along the Mekong at sunset.

Day 5 – Luang Prabang
This morning travel to the outskirts of Luang Prabang which will take us to Kuang Si Waterfall, the most beautiful of the waterfalls near Luang Prabang. Swim, explore and be surrounded by turquoise waters and jungle, then visit a nearby bear sanctuary to see Asiatic black bears rescued from the illegal wildlife trade.
On our way back, you will get to see the fascinating world of Lao textiles come alive with a visit to Ock Pop Tok Weaving Centre. In the evening, experience a bamboo presentation along with dinner and a baci ceremony.

Day 6 – Farewell
It’s time to say goodbye, but just think of all the wonderful stories you will take home. A transfer will take you to the airport for your onward travels.

A short drive to the outskirts of Luang Prabang takes us to the multi-tiered turquoise-coloured Kuang Si Waterfall, deemed one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Southeast Asia. Here you can also visit the Bear Rescue Centre to see rescued Asiatic bears.
On our way back see the fascinating world of Lao textiles come alive with a visit to Ock Pop Tok Weaving Centre. In the evening, experience a bamboo presentation along with dinner and a baci ceremony.

Day 4 – Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng
Leaving Luang Prabang, we drive up into the amazing mountains of north-central Laos, where we will visit traditional Hmong villages. We’ll end our journey at the small city of Vang Vieng, tucked in amongst giant limestone cliffs. This is an area of immense natural beauty, with the small Nan Song River passing through the shadows of the dramatic mountains.

Day 5 – Vang Vieng to Vientiane
Today we will drive to Vientiane, capital and the largest city of Laos and enjoy its relaxed atmosphere. It has a historic old French colonial quarter with temples and statues, and boulevards lined with frangipanis. Explore this charming city starting with a tuk tuk ride from your hotel to the iconic Phatuxay Monument. Hop-off and stroll down Lane Xang Avenue, and visit the Morning Market, and the COPE (Cooperative Orthotic & Prosthetic Enterprise).
Continue along the way to visit the temples; Wat Si Muang and Wat Sisaket, before stopping at the Presidential Palace. End the tour with a delightful farewell dinner, celebrating memorable experiences shared throughout the journey.
