Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Kinabalu Park

Take on the adventure of a lifetime trekking up Mount Kinabalu, rising majestically to a height of 4,095 meters above sea level. First conquered by British colonial administrator Sir Hugh Low in 1851, this spectacular mountain has developed into a world-class adventure climbing mountain and attracts both professional and amateur climbers.

Depart Kota Kinabalu this morning, your journey takes you across the mountainous Crocker range with sweeping views of the countryside. Make a stop at the village of Nabalu where you can savour some locally grown fruits, or maybe bargain for craftwork at the numerous roadside stalls. Then head for Poring Hot Springs where you can relax in the hot mineral springs or take a stroll along a jungle canopy walkway to observe treetop life. Reflect on your surroundings as you overnight at the park.

Day 2 - Mount Kinabalu Climb

Following breakfast, you will be transferred to the starting point – Timpohon gate, where your quest to the summit begins. The trail winds its way through different climate zones, varied terrains and ever-changing forests. Pause for a short break and enjoy a packed lunch along the way before reaching the Laban Rata base camp in the late afternoon. Relax and become acclimated to the altitude as you stay overnight at the base camp.

Day 3 - Mount Kinabalu

After a short night’s rest, set off for a challenging summit trek in the dark hours before the morning mist rolls in. Climb to the Low’s Peak (western plateau) and catch a spectacular view of the sunrise, visible on the far horizon (weather permitting). Afterwards, descend back to Laban Rata base camp for late breakfast and checkout. Later, trek down to Timpohon gate and transfer back to the Park Headquarter for lunch, before returning to Kota Kinabalu.
