Description
Head out of Kuala Lumpur to visit the spiritual Batu Caves, a limestone hill housing a sacred cave temple. Climb the 272 steps to the shrine of Hindu Lord Murugan, visited by over a million pilgrims every year on the annual Thaipusam festival. These steps are a photographer’s delight having being painted bright contrasting colours to give rise to the name ‘Rainbow steps’.
At the world famous Royal Selangor pewter factory, learn about the production methods of pewter and enjoy a guided tour where you can watch a demonstration. The tour ends with a visit to a batik workshop where you will learn how local artists create this colourful fabric.
