About Your Hotel
A stay here gives you the chance to explore Penang’s historic capital with its many fine old buildings rubbing shoulders with modern neighbours. Founded by the Sarkie Brothers in 1885, of Singapore Raffles fame, many distinguished guests have stayed here over the years, including Noel Coward and Rudyard Kipling.
Although it is not on the beach, it is set right beside the sea and from the pool and sundeck you can hear the waves washing the shore.
There are two wings, the newer Victory Annexe and the original Heritage Wing. Guests staying at the Heritage Wing enjoy the exclusive benefit of lounge access for tea or coffee between 12-6pm and evening canapes and drinks between 6-7pm.
Rooms
Studio Suites are located in the Victory Annex and have a balcony, most offering sea views. Deluxe Suites are located in the Heritage Wing and offer a separate living room and views over the sea front. All rooms are decorated in period style and have air conditioning, television, minibar, and free WiFi.
