After your car is delivered to your hotel this morning, head north from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Tahan, gateway to the Taman Negara National Park. On arrival leave your vehicle in the secure parking facility and board a boat (payable locally) across the river to your lodge. After dinner take a night time jungle walk before falling asleep to the sounds of the wild.
Spend the following day exploring this remote and beautiful region on an included group tour. Trek through lush rainforest with a chance to walk across the canopy walkway and enjoy breathtaking views of the forest from dizzying heights. In the afternoon, board a river boat to the cascading waterfall of Lata Berkoh where you will have the chance to swim in the clear waters of the fall. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Mutiara Taman Negara
Day 3 & 4 – Cameron Highlands
Travel back by boat to collect your car and continue to the beautiful Cameron Highlands. You will notice how the climate changes as you climb higher and this is why the region is ideal for tea growing and agriculture.
The next day spend time exploring this pretty part of the country at your own leisure – you may like to visit a tea plantation and sample some of the produce, or visit the Lata Iskandar waterfall.
Strawberry Park, Cameron Highlands
Day 5 & 6 – Penang
Today head to the coast and the golden beaches of Penang. En route you can stop off in Kuala Kangsar to take in the famous mosque and palace.
Your two night stay in Georgetown will give you the chance to explore the historic attractions on foot, or use the car to explore this delightful island. Don’t miss a trip up the funicular railway to Penang Hill for magnificent views over the island.
St Giles Wembley, Penang
Day 7 – Penang
This morning drive your car to the airport in time for your onward flight. For a longer beach holiday, ask your Travel Consultant to extend your stay in Penang or add nights on the island of Langkawi.
