Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Kuching

On arrival in Kuching you will be met and transferred to your hotel where the rest of the day is at leisure.

Hotel: Hilton Hotel Kuching

Day 2 - Batang Ai

After breakfast head for Semenggoh Orangutan Sanctuary where you will be able to see how these shy and gentle apes are cared for. Orangutans are South East Asia’s only great ape and are endangered. You’ll be amazed as they swing through the trees. Later travel to Batang Ai, passing through quaint little towns and villages and stunning countryside. Stop for lunch on the way, before boarding a boat to cross the lake to your overnight accommodation.

Day 3 - Batang Ai

Take a thrilling ride by motorised longboat to visit a traditional Longhouse. The journey will take you across the lake into the Engkari River, before arriving at Mengkak Longhouse, which is nestled on a hill beside the river. Enjoy a short cultural performance and a blow pipe demonstration. After lunch there may be time for a short jungle walk around the grounds of the longhouse.

Day 4 - Kuching

After breakfast depart for Kuching and enjoy a day relaxing and exploring the town.

Day 5 - Mulu Caves

The next day make an early start for your flight to Mulu. On arrival travel to the National Park where you will be able to take a 3km plank walk though the rainforest to the entrance of Deer Cave. The entrance is the largest in the world and you might be lucky enough to see the flight of many thousands of bats as they head out to feed. Afterwards travel to Lang Cave famous for its stalagmites and stalactites. Return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6 - Mulu Caves

Head out in an open longboat to explore Wind and Clearwater caves making a stop at a local Penan Village en route. Wind Cave is famous for its rock formations whilst Clearwater is great for swimming in the shade of the rainforest. Enjoy lunch al fresco and then travel back hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 7 to 9 - Kota Kinabalu

Spend a morning at leisure until you depart for the airport and flight to Kota Kinabalu. Enjoy a relaxing three nights there with time to explore the area and the superb local beaches.

Meals: 3 Breakfasts and lunch

Day 10 - Farewell

After breakfast transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
