- Experience bustling Little India
- Enjoy a river cruise on a bumboat
- Includes a local Chinese dinner
Filled with a sprawling myriad of shops and eateries and set against a backdrop of rich history and heritage, Chinatown is not to be missed especially in the evening when everything really comes alive. Wander along the narrow lanes of the Night Market and test your bargaining skills with street vendors selling anything from souvenirs to leather goods.
After dinner at a local Chinese restaurant, hop onto a bumboat, a type of water taxi used by locals and tourists alike, for a cruise along the Singapore River to see the city lit up at night. You will see the brightly coloured shop-houses of Clarke Quay, modern skyscrapers, colonial buildings and the iconic symbol of Singapore, the water-spouting Merlion statue.
Afterwards, the coach will take you down down to the bustling streets of Little India starting at Sri Veerakaliamman Temple for a brief review of it’s history. Then take a short walk to Upper Dickinson Road to learn about the Indian Murals followed by how to make a Jasmine garland at Campbell Lane. The last stop will be at Selvi’s for a traditional Mehndi Henna tattoo.
