This morning, you’ll be collected from Chiang Mai Airport or your Chiang Mai hotel in an air-conditioned mini-van for the scenic two hour drive through rural Thailand to the Elephant Hills Bush Camp.
Check-in to your luxury en-suite tent and enjoy a delicious buffet lunch of traditional Thai dishes, before heading to the elephant park, where elephants are free to roam in their natural home. You will be able to feed some animals and interact with them as they are cared for by their mahout. You will also be able to spend some time in the Elephant Café, where you can enjoy a drink as the elephants wander peacefully in front of you.
You will also learn more about the life of the mahouts by seeing how they live together with nature and their elephants. You will be able to meet the mahout families and learn more about their daily lives, including cooking, weaving and making paper out of elephant dung!
This evening, enjoy a sundowner drink from a viewpoint over the river with some barbequed aperitifs, before freshening up before dinner, whilst still enjoying the views.

Day 2 – Morning Elephant Rituals
Wake this morning to see the mist slowly clear from the surrounding hills, then enjoy breakfast…
Wake this morning to see the mist slowly clear from the surrounding hills, then enjoy breakfast at your leisure.
Return to the forest to witness how the elephants are cared for by their mahout. View the elephants enjoy their morning wash and learn more about the work being done to protect the elephants at the Bush Camp and elsewhere. Sample a Kafee Boran, a traditional coffee enjoyed by the mahouts as they explain good animal husbandry techniques and how they administer veterinary care when necessary.
After a full morning of activities return to your tent to check-out before enjoying a farewell lunch and your transfer back to Chiang Mai Airport or your hotel.
