Elephant Hills Jungle Safari

2 day Unique Experience - from £335 £300

Khao Sok National Park

A front runner in sustainable tourism, Elephant Hills offers a unique opportunity to stay in the heart of one of Thailand’s finest National Parks, and come face to face with Asia’s largest, and arguably most graceful, land mammal.

Your Jungle Safari Includes:

  • A night at Elephant Hills luxury tented camp, in the Khao Sok rainforest
  • An ethical elephant experience, in which you will feed a rescued animal
  • A guided canoe safari along the peaceful Sok River
  • Return transfers to the Elephant Camp and all meals during your stay

Your Accommodation

Accommodation at Elephant Hills is modelled on the luxury camps you would find on an African safari. Your tent may have a canvas roof and sides, but also large windows, a wooden floor, a king size bed or twin beds, an en suite bathroom with a shower and flushing toilet, and electricity to power reading lights and a fan. Even the term ‘glamping’ doesn’t do it justice!

You’ll drift off at night to the sound of exotic birds and the distant calls of gibbons in the Khao Sok National Park, then wake to look out over mist covered, rainforest-clad mountains. It truly is one of the most beautiful places in Thailand.

Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Elephant Encounter & Canoe Safari

This morning, you’ll be collected from the airport or your hotel in an air-conditioned mini-van for the scenic drive through rural Thailand to Elephant Hills.

After checking into your luxury en suite tent, enjoy a delicious buffet lunch including a variety of traditional Thai dishes, of varying spice levels!

Your first activity is a relaxing canoe trip down the Sok River where you will pass limestone mountains and cliffs covered with exotic tropical vegetation, looking out for wildlife as you go. The rainforest of Khao Sok National Park is estimated to be a staggering 160 million years old.

Next, head to the elephant park for a unique elephant experience. You will prepare a fruit-based meal and have the opportunity to feed it to an elephant, before watching them enjoy a bath in their large mud-pool. They elephants then move back into their free roaming enclosure, where you can continue to watch them play and interact together.

This evening’s activities include a movie presentation, dance performances and cooking demonstration, before a tasty dinner. Falls asleep tonight to the sounds of the jungle.

Day 2 - Jungle Trek & Farwell Lunch

Wake this morning to see the mist slowly clear from the surrounding peaks, then enjoy breakfast at your leisure.

Appetite satisfied, an expert, English speaking guide will lead you into the Khao Sok rainforest, where you will learn about the biologically important flora and fauna protected by the National Park. Wander past exotic plants, gaze up at tropical hardwoods and keep an eye out for gibbons, macaque and other wildlife.

Lunch is served back at Elephant Camp, before your onward transfer to the airport or your next destination.
